The game blends fast-paced combat with aerial maneuvers, allowing Gloom Girl to ride the DOOMBLADE through the air and unleash powerful attacks on a variety of enemies. Players can directly target foes and use a range of unique abilities—such as Doom Drop, Wicked Wind, and Nightmare Onion—to instill fear and dominate the battlefield. The adventure unfolds across diverse and interconnected environments, from the eerie, abandoned halls of Gloomhaunt to the dense, tribal New Wilderwood forest, the bizarre, mushroom-infused depths of the Molded Mines, and a dystopian, industrialized area known as the Power Sector.
