The Bolt Age

The Bolt Age is a 3D cover shooter set in a richly imagined retro-futuristic world that blends steampunk and raygun gothic aesthetics. Players take on the role of William Bolt, an apprentice of science and war trained by the legendary Nikola Tesla. The story unfolds as Tesla discovers a terrifying otherworldly dimension filled with nightmarish creatures, drawing inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft’s mythos. With an impending invasion threatening Earth, Bolt must harness Tesla’s advanced, electricity-powered weaponry to fend off hordes of extra-dimensional monsters and prevent an apocalyptic event centered around the activation of the Wardenclyffe Tower. Gameplay revolves around strategic combat across four main levels and over twenty sub-levels, featuring diverse environments and a variety of enemies, including challenging bosses. Players can carry up to four weapons simultaneously, choosing from nearly thirty unique firearms and non-lethal gadgets that require thoughtful use to gain the upper hand. The game encourages tactical cover use, quick movement, and obstacle navigation as players progress through story-driven objectives, punctuated by cinematic sequences that deepen the narrative. Alongside combat, players manage resources like first aid kits and energy recharges, while earning rewards and trophies that mark their progress.
