Aluna: Sentinel of the Shards is an action-adventure game set in the early 16th century New World, blending historical and mythological elements inspired by Inca and Colombian folklore. Players take on the role of Aluna, the daughter of a Spanish conquistador and the South American nature goddess Pachamama. Raised in Spain but drawn to her ancestral homeland, Aluna embarks on a perilous journey to restore a sacred amulet entrusted to her by her mother and uncover her true destiny. The game’s story unfolds across diverse environments, from lush jungles and towering seaside cliffs to volcanic canyons, each filled with dark mythological creatures and formidable enemies rooted in Latin American legends. Gameplay centers on fast-paced combat that combines a variety of historical weapons with magical abilities drawn from three distinct schools of magic. Players can customize Aluna’s fighting style by unlocking new powers and mastering spells, evading attacks, and using tactical combinations to overcome challenging foes. Exploration and resource management also play key roles, with opportunities to collect, craft, and trade hundreds of unique items throughout the richly detailed world.
