Forgotlings invites players into the enchanting Forgotten Lands, a magical realm where lost objects—forgotlings—come to life, each carrying faint memories of their past. You take on the role of Fig, a once-forgotten posing doll who has become the captain of the living lightship Volare. As shadows rise and ancient divisions threaten the fragile peace, you must navigate windswept skies and forgotten cities to unite five distinct forgotling tribes, each with its own culture and values. From the scholarly Videra and inventive Aufero to the compassionate Servus, adventurous Sonavi, and spiritual Karus, these tribes shape the world’s rich lore and offer diverse allies and challenges along your journey. Gameplay in Forgotlings blends cinematic, hand-animated storytelling with tactical action and diplomacy. Featuring thousands of frame-by-frame animations, the game’s visuals evoke the feel of an animated movie as you engage in hack-and-slash combat or stealthy strikes. Beyond combat, players can influence relationships and resolve conflicts through dialogue choices and a strategic board game called INA, inspired by Chess and Go. Progression comes from building bonds with the tribes, unlocking powerful upgrades, and making decisions that affect Fig’s path and the fate of the Forgotten Lands.
