As the Viceroy, appointed by the enigmatic Scorched Queen, your mission is to lead expeditions into the wild to establish and expand a network of settlements that will ensure the survival and prosperity of the Smoldering City, the last stronghold of humanity. Unlike traditional survival city builders that focus on a single settlement, this game challenges you to manage multiple diverse communities across a vast, ever-changing landscape. Each settlement is inhabited by a variety of fantasy races—humans, harpies, foxes, beavers, and lizards—each with their own unique needs, preferences, and specializations. Balancing these differences is key to maintaining morale and productivity as relentless storms and hidden dangers constantly threaten your people. Gameplay revolves around establishing and growing interconnected towns while navigating the challenges of different biomes and unpredictable weather conditions. As a roguelite, progress is persistent through meta-upgrades and resources carried between expeditions, allowing you to refine your strategies with each new journey.
