Stop the Blight is a tower defense rogue-lite set in a world plagued by a creeping corruption known as the Blight. As a Guardian of the Arcanum, players must defend the realm by strategically building towers, casting spells, and manipulating the very terrain of the battlefield. Unlike traditional tower defense games, the environment here is highly interactive—players can raise, lower, or level voxel-based ground to create choke points, walls, or vantage points, giving them greater control over enemy movement and the flow of battle. However, the Blight itself is a relentless force, spreading across the map and damaging any structures it overtakes, while enemies adapt and spread the corruption as they advance, requiring constant tactical adjustment. Each mission features procedurally generated maps with unique layouts and challenges, ensuring no two battles are the same. Players can discover and equip elemental runes that enhance towers and spells with effects like burn, poison, or slowing enemies, allowing for diverse strategic combinations. Between runs, collected Arcane Shards unlock permanent upgrades that improve core abilities, tower strength, spellcasting, and other advantages, enabling players to grow stronger over time.
