You assume the role of a powerful champion chosen to confront the malevolent god Alaloth, imprisoned yet exerting a growing influence over the realm. The game invites exploration of a vast isometric world composed of four distinct kingdoms, each inhabited by unique races including humans, dwarves, elves, and orcs. These factions bring their own cultures, histories, and conflicts, which deeply affect the narrative and how NPCs respond to your character. As you journey through diverse environments—from dense forests and towering mountains to desolate wastelands—you’ll unravel the layered lore of Plamen through engaging quests, ancient ruins, and dynamic interactions with over 500 characters. Combat in Alaloth emphasizes strategic, skill-based action where every move counts, blending a hardcore system with tactical isometric gameplay. Players can customize their champion by selecting from various classes, skill trees, and “Ways of Power,” tailoring their approach to combat and exploration. Along the way, a memorable cast of twelve companions, each with their own stories and motivations, can join your party, influencing your journey. The game also offers local cooperative play for up to three players via Remote Play, as well as competitive multiplayer modes.
