Set in a quirky, hand-crafted urban environment composed of hundreds of unique city blocks, the game challenges you to sabotage human agents bent on stopping your mission. As you progress through randomly assembled neighborhoods, you’ll steal intel, battle formidable bosses, and explore the strange quirks of human life from an outsider’s perspective. The game offers a rich blend of action and strategy, allowing you to customize your alien with a wide array of weapons, boosts, and mutations that unlock new abilities such as super speed, healing, and flight. The game supports up to four players in both online and local co-op, with difficulty levels adjustable on a per-player basis to accommodate different skill levels simultaneously. Players can select from three difficulty settings and choose between two life insurance modes: Mastery Mode, which offers greater rewards but punishes death harshly, and Permakeep, which provides a more forgiving experience. Progression is non-linear, with opportunities to gather loot at Sewer Kid Hideouts and spend resources earned from underground allies. After defeating enemy headquarters, players unlock new mutations and modifiers, enhancing future missions and adding depth to the gameplay loop.
