Animallica is an adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic Earth devastated by a deadly virus that has wiped out most wildlife, leaving the planet’s fate uncertain. Players step into the role of the last survivor at a conservation center, tasked with the critical mission of preserving and restoring the remaining animal populations. Starting with minimal supplies and relying on ingenuity, you explore diverse biomes ranging from African savannahs and towering Alpine mountains to Egyptian deserts and Asian-inspired gardens. Despite the world’s ravaged state, its natural beauty endures, though danger lurks everywhere—from hostile human raiders to mutated creatures. Gameplay centers around crafting, survival, and animal care. You must scavenge resources to create weapons, gear, and shelter while managing your food and water needs. Animals you encounter are often sick and require tranquilizing, curing, and taming before they can be released or housed in your growing sanctuary. You have freedom in how you develop your base: build a sprawling settlement with advanced crafting stations and comfortable housing, or adopt a more nomadic lifestyle, focusing on animal care across multiple locations. Progression is non-linear, allowing players to decide how much time to dedicate to gathering, crafting, and expanding their collection of animals.
