ArcRunner is a cyberpunk-themed roguelite shooter set aboard a sprawling futuristic space station known as The Arc. Players take on the role of specialized operatives tasked with resetting a rogue AI that has turned hostile, unleashing waves of deadly sentient robots programmed to eliminate all intruders. The game offers a rich variety of characters, each embodying a distinct combat style—from the brute-force Soldier and agile Ninja to the tech-savvy Hacker—allowing players to tailor their approach to the intense gunfights and strategic challenges that await. As players progress through multiple zones, including the gritty cyberpunk metropolis called The City and the opulent Eden Heights, they encounter procedurally generated levels that ensure no two runs feel the same. After each completed stage, players can enhance their abilities by acquiring powerful augmentations and upgrades using collected nanites, which also contribute to a meta-progression system accessible through a cryochamber. This system lets players boost attributes like damage, health, and weapon customization, helping them survive increasingly difficult encounters. Along the way, players can scavenge the environment and fallen enemies for a diverse arsenal—from spread-shot shotguns to precision plasma bows—further deepening combat variety. ArcRunner also supports cooperative multiplayer for up to four players, allowing friends to team up locally or online and coordinate tactics as they work together to overcome the AI threat and save The Arc.
