Arhaekon is a challenging roguelike, turn-based RPG set in a grimdark world teetering on the edge of collapse. Players lead small squads of units through procedurally generated dungeons, battling relentless corruption and eldritch horrors in a desperate bid to save humanity. The game emphasizes strategic combat, requiring careful party synergy, clever combos, and thoughtful adaptation to ever-changing threats. With limited mobility and a ruthless AI, battles demand patience and planning rather than button mashing. Permadeath and punishing decisions add weight to every choice, making each playthrough a tense test of skill and resource management. The world of Arhaekon unfolds across 14 distinct regions, each filled with themed enemies, rich lore, and unique environmental challenges. Players command a diverse roster of 12 units spanning four classes, each with their own abilities and progression paths. Outside of battle, the game offers in-depth party and camp management systems, allowing you to recruit, heal, and upgrade your units while also developing facilities in a refugee camp. Crafting plays a key role, featuring a unique equipment system with randomly generated, soul-bound augments that discourage hoarding. The game’s dark atmosphere is enhanced by experimental, quasi-procedurally generated music and a corruption mechanic that affects both health and sanity.
