Set in a whimsical world where living bread creatures called Buns come to life, players take on the role of Apprentice Bakers on a mission to combat a mysterious Mould infection spreading across different Worlds. Each of the six playable characters boasts unique abilities, encouraging players to experiment with different strategies as they face off against powerful Guardians—bosses that mark the end of each World’s levels. Whether playing solo in the “Bun Solo” mode or teaming up with friends locally or online, players must catch, throw, and bake their doughy companions to overcome a variety of obstacles and enemies. The game features over 100 levels spanning two distinct Worlds, catering to both casual party gamers and seasoned couch co-op veterans. The Buns themselves add a layer of unpredictability and strategy, each possessing distinct traits that can help or hinder progress—for instance, the cannibalistic Lil’ Bun that grows by eating others, or the armored Armadough that breaks through barriers.
