Game Overview
Chip ‘n Clawz vs. The Brainioids is an inventive blend of third-person action and real-time strategy, crafted by Julian Gollop, the creator of X-COM. Set in a vibrant, comic book-inspired universe, the game follows the young inventor Chip and his trusty robo-cat Clawz as they battle against an alien invasion by the Brainioids. These extraterrestrial foes have stolen Earth's precious Brainium crystals, encased in massive Grav Spheres that serve as battlegrounds throughout the story. Players take on the challenge of reclaiming each sphere, ultimately confronting the Brainioid Mothership in a campaign filled with humor and memorable characters. Gameplay combines fast-paced combat with strategic base-building and army management. Players alternate between controlling Chip and Clawz directly in action-packed missions and overseeing their forces from a strategic Command View, assembling buildings, weapons, vehicles, and upgrades to strengthen their army. Progression revolves around uncovering rare collectibles, comic books, and blueprints that unlock new abilities and gear. The game also offers multiple multiplayer modes, including cooperative play and competitive PvP, with support for cross-platform matchmaking. Whether playing solo, teaming up in couch co-op, or facing off online, Chip ‘n Clawz vs. The Brainioids delivers a fresh take on classic strategy games through its accessible mechanics, engaging story, and dynamic mix of action and tactics.
