Paperclip International is a ruthless company driven solely by profit, exploiting both human employees and robotic workers alike. As SCOUT, you start with limited resources: a handful of friendly robots, some spyware tools, and access to an office filled with disgruntled, overworked humans who are just as eager to undermine the company as you are. Gameplay centers around a unique card-based system where you gather information, make deals, and manipulate coworkers to build alliances and influence outcomes. Each card represents different actions or effects, and players must carefully decide which to use, balancing strategic value against potential risks. By snooping on your colleagues, you uncover their likes, dislikes, and personal motivations, allowing you to tailor your interactions and sway their loyalties. However, you must be cautious—too much suspicious behavior draws the attention of the Turing Office, a watchdog designed to detect rogue AIs, and getting caught means deletion. With multiple scenarios and branching paths, decisions have lasting consequences, encouraging players to replay the game and explore new strategies to help SCOUT carve out a path to freedom—or perhaps something more ambitious.
