Game Overview
Dark Moon is a survival strategy game set on the lunar surface, where players must navigate a perilous environment under constant threat from a devastating solar storm. After a massive solar flare knocks out all electronics on the Moon, you take on the role of an engineer from the Moon Shell’s Engineering Council, originally sent to oversee mining operations. However, the mission quickly shifts to a desperate struggle for survival as the Sun’s deadly light relentlessly consumes everything in its path. The game challenges you to lead a crew, manage resources, and make tough decisions while avoiding the Sun’s radiance, which turns the darkness into your only safe haven. At the heart of your journey is the Mechaplex, a large, mobile engineering vehicle that acts as your base and escape vessel. You must constantly move across the lunar plains, using drones to scan terrain and obstacles, gathering minerals, and constructing new buildings atop the Mechaplex to improve your crew’s survival chances. The game features a dynamic, non-linear experience with unpredictable encounters and events that require careful planning and quick adaptation. Recruiting new crew members adds another layer of depth, as their abilities and personalities influence gameplay and relationships. Your choices affect morale and alliances, forcing you to weigh the risks of cooperation against the threat of betrayal. Dark Moon blends strategic resource management, exploration, and narrative-driven decision-making to create a tense atmosphere where every move could mean the difference between life and death.
