Deadlight: Director’s Cut is a side-scrolling survival platformer set in an apocalyptic 1986, where players navigate the devastated streets of Seattle following a devastating zombie outbreak. You take on the role of Randall Wayne, a cautious and introverted survivor searching for his lost family amid the ruins of civilization. The game blends tense platforming challenges with life-or-death encounters against zombie-like creatures known as “shadows.” Players must carefully balance their approach, choosing when to engage enemies using limited weapons and ammunition or when to stealthily avoid threats by using the environment to hide and sneak past hordes. The story unfolds as you explore the atmospheric cityscape, piecing together Randall’s fate and the world around him. This Director’s Cut edition enhances the original Deadlight experience with improved visuals, higher resolution, refined controls, and new animations that make Randall more agile and responsive. In addition to the main story campaign, the game introduces the Survival Arena mode, where players face endless waves of zombies, employing new weapons like the machine gun, sniper rifle, and Molotov cocktails, as well as interactive defenses to hold off relentless attacks. The mode also features online leaderboards, encouraging players to test their survival skills against others.
