Devilated is a fast-paced action game that blends the intense shooting mechanics of classic old-school shooters with the progression and customization elements of action RPGs. Set within a sprawling, labyrinthine world teeming with vicious monsters, players fight their way through 30 challenging levels and face off against 30 formidable bosses. The game encourages a dynamic combat style where speed, style, and savagery combine — players can chain together combos, use enemy corpses as shields, and even slow down time to execute precise attacks or soak in the brutal spectacle. Weapons range from blades to rocket launchers, allowing for diverse approaches to combat, while abilities like bullet-time, gliding, dashing, dual-wielding, and sword techniques deepen the gameplay and enable players to craft their own unique fighting style. Progression in Devilated is marked by unlocking over 100 weapons and abilities, as well as exploring a classic RPG-style inventory with rotatable items that add tactical depth. The game offers robust replayability with a New Game+ mode, where enemy numbers escalate to provide an ever-greater challenge. Alongside its intense gameplay, Devilated features an original metal soundtrack that complements its high-octane atmosphere. Players can also customize their experience through multiple camera and field-of-view options, discover hidden easter eggs that reveal more about the game’s creator, and even create or import their own maps using Unity, sharing them via the Steam Workshop. Developed by Trunka, who handled art, code, and design, and accompanied by a soundtrack from Sigurd Jøhnk-Jensen, Devilated delivers a thrilling blend of visceral combat and RPG-style progression for fans of adrenaline-fueled action.
