Game Overview

Disintegration is a sci-fi first-person shooter developed by V1 Interactive, an independent studio led by Marcus Lehto, co-creator of Halo. Set in a near-future Earth where humanity faces extinction, the game explores a desperate struggle for survival through a process called Integration, which preserves human consciousness by transferring brains into robotic bodies. Players assume the role of Romer Shoal, a former Gravcycle pilot and leader of a small resistance group called the Outlaws, who fight against the oppressive Rayonne forces determined to wipe out the last traces of humanity. The narrative follows Romer and his crew as they attempt to reclaim their identity and spark a new beginning for humankind. Gameplay in Disintegration uniquely blends first-person shooter mechanics with real-time strategy elements. Players pilot heavily armed, highly maneuverable Gravcycles while simultaneously commanding ground units, directing them to attack, collect resources, and utilize specialized abilities. This tactical combination requires balancing fast-paced combat with strategic decision-making to overcome enemies and complete objectives. The game features a single-player campaign that delves into its rich sci-fi world, offering a story-driven experience that emphasizes teamwork and resistance against overwhelming odds. With its hybrid gameplay and immersive setting, Disintegration offers a fresh take on both FPS and strategy genres.
