Disintegration is a sci-fi first-person shooter developed by V1 Interactive, an independent studio led by Marcus Lehto, co-creator of Halo. Set in a near-future Earth where humanity faces extinction, the game explores a desperate struggle for survival through a process called Integration, which preserves human consciousness by transferring brains into robotic bodies. Players assume the role of Romer Shoal, a former Gravcycle pilot and leader of a small resistance group called the Outlaws, who fight against the oppressive Rayonne forces determined to wipe out the last traces of humanity. The narrative follows Romer and his crew as they attempt to reclaim their identity and spark a new beginning for humankind.
