Distant Sun is a narrative-driven single-player sci-fi adventure set in the late 2100s, where humanity’s future in space hangs in the balance. Amid escalating tensions between Earth’s nations, the Pioneer Research station has been tasked with unlocking the secrets of cosmic expansion—until something mysterious disrupts the mission. Players take on the role of an investigator sent to uncover what happened at Pioneer Station, piecing together clues through dialogue, hacking, and puzzle-solving. As you explore the station and interact with its remaining inhabitants, you’ll uncover a sprawling conspiracy that threatens more than just the crew’s survival. The game’s core revolves around player choice, with branching dialogue trees shaping the narrative and influencing the outcome of your investigation. How you approach conversations—whether through diplomacy, cunning, or confrontation—will determine the path your story takes. Alongside you are two companions, Wonglei and Hailey, who provide both combat support and strategic advice, adding depth to gameplay and character interactions. Additionally, Distant Sun offers a detailed character creator, allowing players to customize their protagonist’s appearance before diving into the mystery.
