Dustwind: Resistance is a tactical real-time with pause strategy game set in a gritty post-apocalyptic world where survival hinges on sharp planning and quick reflexes. Players take command of a small squad of warriors, alongside a loyal dog named Diesel, as they battle against a ruthless raider army threatening their home. The game offers a variety of combat options, allowing you to approach encounters with guns blazing, stealth tactics, or clever use of traps and explosives. You can issue orders at any moment by pausing the action, selecting weapons, skills, and strategies tailored to each mission. Defensive measures like deploying turrets, barricades, and even using an armored vehicle add further depth to the gameplay, while diverse environments challenge players to adapt their tactics continually. The story follows Jake, a farmer whose quiet life is shattered by the raider invasion, propelling him and his squad into a desperate fight for freedom and justice. Dustwind: Resistance builds on the original game with a fully fleshed-out single-player campaign, featuring improved mechanics, a refined user interface, and an expanded arsenal of unique weapons. Character progression and skill systems have been revamped to provide a more engaging experience, complemented by varied, hostile locations that keep each mission fresh.
