Game Overview
Set in Japan during the tumultuous final years of the Edo period in 1854, *Ed-0: Zombie Uprising* plunges players into an alternate history where the country’s isolation is shattered not only by foreign powers but also by a devastating zombie outbreak. As Western nations undergo a so-called “Zombie Industrial Revolution,” their arrival on Japanese shores brings an overwhelming horde of undead that swiftly spreads throughout Edo. Amid this chaos, a mysterious group known as the “Zom-beings,” immune to the zombie plague, emerges to combat the infestation and attempt to restore Japan to its former state before it was forcibly opened to the outside world. Players take on the role of one of three warriors—a Samurai, a Sumo Wrestler, or a Ninja—each with unique abilities, tasked with battling relentless waves of zombies across procedurally generated dungeons. The game combines rogue-like elements with intense, strategic combat, requiring careful decision-making and adaptability as no two playthroughs are the same. Along the way, players gather items and skills to strengthen their characters, facing unpredictable challenges and formidable enemies that demand quick thinking and resilience. With its blend of historical setting and supernatural horror, *Ed-0: Zombie Uprising* offers a tense and engaging experience that tests both reflexes and judgment in a desperate fight for survival.
