Game Overview
Fossilfuel 2 is a first-person horror shooter set in the eerie, flooded corridors of the Sierra Research Facility in Alaska. Players take on the role of Jack Allen, a member of an expedition sent to investigate the mysterious disaster that left the base overrun by deadly dinosaurs and cut off from the mainland. The facility’s labyrinthine layout is partially submerged in seawater, requiring players to don scuba gear and navigate both underwater environments and claustrophobic, puzzle-filled bunkers. Throughout this intense 12-hour journey, players will encounter a variety of dinosaur species, from swift Utahraptors to imposing Spinosaurus, as well as environmental hazards that add to the tension and challenge. Built on Unreal Engine 5, Fossilfuel 2 delivers detailed, atmospheric visuals and dynamic AI that keep encounters unpredictable and engaging. The game features a nonlinear structure, allowing players to revisit areas, unlock weapon upgrades, and create safe zones by draining flooded sections of the base. Multiple endings and branching choices encourage replayability, ensuring that no two playthroughs are quite the same. Beyond the story-driven campaign, Fossilfuel 2 also offers a sandbox mode where players can experiment with spawning NPCs and building structures, adding a creative twist to the experience. Combining survival horror, exploration, and action, the game invites players to uncover the dark secrets behind the dinosaur outbreak while battling to stay alive in a hostile, submerged research facility.
