Gloomhaven is a tactical RPG set in a dark medieval fantasy world, adapted from the highly acclaimed strategy board game by Isaac Childres. Players take command of a band of mercenaries, exploring a dangerous and unforgiving land filled with treacherous dungeons, eerie forests, and shadowy caves inhabited by terrifying monsters. The game emphasizes strategic planning and careful decision-making, as every move can have life-or-death consequences. Players build their character’s deck of ability cards before each mission and engage in turn-based combat on a hex grid, combining card halves to create powerful attacks and maneuvers while managing limited resources and avoiding exhaustion. With 17 unique characters, each boasting hundreds of abilities, players can tailor their approach to every challenge, whether playing solo or teaming up with up to three others in online co-op.
