Glorious Companions is a turn-based tactical RPG set in the sprawling, diverse world of Terscara, a land marked by the uneasy peace between the human Valrenay and the fierce lizardfolk Scarres. After centuries of conflict, a fragile truce holds, but a new threat looms as ancient giant statues known as Naalans begin to stir, unsettling the realm and prompting the King of Valrenay to call upon brave warriors to investigate and confront this mysterious menace. Players lead a band of battle-hardened companions through an epic quest to recover powerful vault crystals and prevent the looming disaster known as Xandar’s Wrath. The game offers two distinct campaigns, allowing players to command either the disciplined, steam-powered Valrenay or the savage, vengeful Scarres, each faction boasting unique classes, combat styles, and strategic options. Exploration and progression play central roles in Glorious Companions, as players traverse nine varied regions—from icy tundras and misty swamps to fiery volcanoes and lush forests—encountering towns, outposts, and hidden Points of Interest. Recruiting and customizing a versatile team is key, with a variety of mercenary classes, skill branches, and equipment options available through merchants or by looting defeated foes. The tactical combat challenges players to adapt to diverse enemies, including bandits, wild beasts, and formidable vault guardians, culminating in intense boss battles within ancient vaults. These vaults not only test strategic prowess but also reward players with powerful artifacts to enhance their party. Additionally, the game features both online and local multiplayer modes, where players can engage in wargame-inspired, point-limited PvP battles.
