Game Overview
Granny is a tense survival horror game set within the confines of a sinister, dimly lit house where you find yourself trapped and desperate to escape. Waking up with a throbbing headache in a dark room, your only source of light is a flashlight lying nearby. The main exit is secured with multiple locks, prompting you to explore the eerie house in search of keys and various objects needed to unlock the door. However, every step you take must be cautious—Granny’s acute hearing means that even the smallest noise, like a dropped item or creaky floorboard, can alert her to your location. The house is filled with dangers, including hidden bear traps and her aggressive pets, making stealth and quick thinking essential. To evade Granny, you can hide in wardrobes or coffins, but staying out of her sight is crucial. Aside from the main door, there’s an alternate escape route through the garage, where an old car awaits—if you can manage to start it and open the garage door, freedom might be within reach. You’ll also find two types of weapons around the house, which can momentarily fend off Granny but won’t stop her permanently. The game offers five difficulty levels, ranging from Practice mode—where Granny is absent and you can familiarize yourself with the house—to Extreme mode, which tests your nerves and strategy to the limit. You have five in-game days to escape, with the possibility of earning an extra day by completing certain tasks for Granny. Failure to escape within this time frame carries grim consequences, adding a constant sense of urgency to the gameplay.
