I am on Fire

"I am on Fire (小小火神)" is a third-person action role-playing game set in a perilous southern land inspired by ancient Chinese aesthetics. Players take on the role of a character wearing a distinctive wooden helmet, embarking on a journey filled with exploration, combat, puzzle-solving, and narrative discovery. As the protagonist navigates through richly detailed environments powered by Unreal Engine’s advanced lighting and physics, they encounter a variety of enemies that require strategic use of both standard hacking and slashing attacks as well as unique special abilities. The game’s difficulty and complexity grow steadily, introducing new foes and skills with each level to keep players engaged and challenged. Beyond straightforward puzzle-solving, the game integrates enemy interactions during decryption sequences, heightening the tension and blending action with problem-solving in a dynamic way. The combination of finely crafted models, immersive physical interactions, and a distinct artistic style rooted in the author’s personal vision offers a fresh take on the role-playing genre. Controls are accessible via both keyboard and gamepad, allowing players to tailor their experience. Originally developed as a graduation project, "I am on Fire" stands out for its unique setting and blend of combat, exploration, and puzzle elements, delivering an engaging adventure in a richly atmospheric world.
