Game Overview
In Fear I Trust is a first-person psychological thriller set within the haunting remnants of a secret Soviet research facility. Players take on the role of Nikolay, also known as Patient #17, who awakens in a cramped, foul-smelling cell with fragmented memories and a desperate need to escape. As Nikolay explores the decaying corridors and abandoned laboratories, he encounters a series of complex puzzles that must be solved to uncover key documents, diaries, and notes. These discoveries gradually reveal the chilling truth behind the mysterious scientific experiments conducted in this isolated location. The atmosphere is thick with tension, amplified by encounters with ghostly apparitions hinting at the facility’s dark past. A defining feature of the game is the Retrospective Mode, which allows players to peer through the veil of the present and glimpse into past events. This unique ability provides crucial hints and unveils hidden clues necessary to progress through the story. The first episode, titled The Awakening, focuses on Nikolay’s initial struggle with amnesia as he navigates the doctor’s office and laboratory, piecing together his identity and the contract he unwittingly signed. Fully voice-acted and built on the Unreal Engine, the game delivers an immersive narrative experience that blends psychological suspense with exploration and puzzle-solving, inviting players to unravel the secrets of a classified Soviet experiment one step at a time.
