Game Overview
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a single-player action-strategy game set in a beautifully crafted, Japanese-inspired world centered around Mt. Kafuku, a mountain shrouded in spiritual defilement. Players take on the role of Soh, a skilled swordsman tasked with protecting Yoshiro, the Maiden of the mountain, as they work together to cleanse the land. The game unfolds through a compelling day-and-night cycle: by day, you prepare the villages and strategize for the coming darkness, while at night you defend Yoshiro from relentless waves of mysterious enemies called the Seethe, who emerge from the Torii Gates under the cover of darkness. The gameplay blends exhilarating sword-fighting with thoughtful tactical decisions. Soh’s combat is fluid and dance-like, requiring precision and timing to overcome the various abilities of the Seethe. However, victory depends equally on how well you coordinate with villagers assigned to different roles and positions, making each encounter a dynamic challenge of strategy and adaptability. Progression involves purifying Torii Gates through Yoshiro’s traditional Kagura dance, gradually restoring peace to the mountain villages. With its rich cultural elements—such as traditional masks, music, and dance—Kunitsu-Gami offers a unique atmosphere that immerses players in a mystical world where action and strategy intertwine against a backdrop of ancient Japanese folklore.
