Game Overview
Let Them Trade is a city-building and economic strategy game set in a medieval kingdom where players take on the role of a royal governor tasked with developing prosperous cities. The game challenges you to explore the map, establish new settlements, and manage resources carefully to ensure steady growth. Each city operates autonomously, managing citizens’ needs, balancing its own budget, and independently buying and selling goods. As the player, you influence city placement and trade routes, earning income through taxes based on the wealth and happiness of your cities. The dynamic economy requires strategic decisions, from producing various resources to trading goods for profit or stockpiling them for future challenges. Beyond economic management, players must also protect their cities from bandits drawn to their growing wealth by dispatching knights to scout new lands and defend against threats. Let Them Trade offers a relaxing yet engaging experience with multiple scenarios presenting different challenges, as well as a sandbox mode for open-ended play. Players can research new production buildings and unlock resources to expand their economic empire further. Additionally, a built-in scenario editor allows users to craft and share custom challenges, adding replayability. The game’s campaign follows the king and his advisor, Mr. Nuts, as they prepare for a special event, blending lighthearted storytelling with strategic depth. Overall, Let Them Trade provides a thoughtful blend of city-building, trade, and defense in a charming medieval setting.
