Game Overview
Mashina is a charming digging adventure that places players in the role of a friendly mining robot named Mashina, dedicated to supporting her quirky robot community. The game unfolds across two distinct environments: a mysterious underground filled with minerals and hidden treasures, and a vibrant, fully explorable 3D overground world. Players spend much of their time delving into the depths, using a radar to locate valuable minerals and excavating carefully to collect rare resources. These minerals can then be stored in Mashina’s backpack and deposited back at the underground base, where players can build helpful machines to assist with future expeditions. Along the way, players encounter fellow robot companions, discover trinkets, and unravel the secrets hidden beneath the surface. Above ground, the world is lively and inviting, offering opportunities to meet locals, accept various missions, and upgrade equipment to enhance exploration and excavation capabilities. The environment can be customized and decorated, encouraging players to make the overground their own. Mashina’s visual style is uniquely crafted through handmade stop-motion animation, which is transformed into in-game textures and sprites enhanced by dynamic lighting and shadows. The game’s soundtrack features retro synth compositions that create a relaxing atmosphere, perfectly complementing the digging and exploration experience. Voice acting from talented performers brings the robot characters to life, adding warmth and personality to the community Mashina strives to nurture.
