Game Overview
Memoriapolis is a city-building strategy game that challenges you to guide a settlement through five pivotal historical eras, from Antiquity to the Industrial Revolution. As the leader, you manage resources, navigate political decisions, and balance the interests of various influential factions—including Military, Religion, Trade, Education, Industry, and Politics—that evolve and shift in power over time. Your goal is to maintain control until the end of the Age of Enlightenment and ultimately leave a lasting legacy by organizing a grand City’s Fair during the Industrial Revolution. Each era introduces its own architectural styles and gameplay rules, requiring you to decide what aspects of your city’s heritage to preserve or let fade away. The city in Memoriapolis develops organically, with citizens choosing where to settle and neighborhoods forming naturally rather than through direct player placement. This creates a unique experience every time you play, as your irreversible choices shape the identity and story of your city. Along the way, you can construct famous wonders like the Library of Alexandria or Notre-Dame, which provide valuable bonuses but demand careful planning and resources. In the final stage, you design a themed promenade showcasing your city’s most iconic buildings, creating a personalized tribute to your dynasty’s rise and the evolution of your city. Memoriapolis blends historical depth with strategic city-building, offering a rich simulation where your leadership and vision determine the fate of your civilization.
