Game Overview
MINOS is a roguelite maze-building game that puts you in the role of the legendary Minotaur, tasked with defending your labyrinthine sanctuary from relentless adventurers. These heroes seek fame and fortune by hunting the monster within, unaware that you are not only the fearsome creature they dread but also the mastermind behind the maze itself. Each playthrough introduces new enemies, traps, and strategic opportunities, ensuring that no two attempts to survive the night unfold the same way. As you shape your labyrinth, you can drag walls, gates, and corridors to craft intricate paths designed to confuse and ensnare your foes, whether through devious complexity or brutal efficiency. The core gameplay revolves around creating deadly chain reactions using an array of traps—spikes, boulders, blades, and fire hazards—that can be linked together to trigger devastating sequences. Cleverly placed pressure plates and rotating passages add layers of depth, encouraging players to outsmart invaders with clever timing and environmental manipulation. Beyond the gameplay, MINOS weaves a narrative exploring the origins of the Minotaur and the labyrinth’s creator, Daedalus. When the legendary hero Theseus arrives, players face a pivotal choice that challenges the notion of who the true monster is, adding a thoughtful dimension to the intense, trap-filled action.
