Game Overview
My Very Own Light is a unique 3D puzzle adventure-vania that immerses players in a vast, atmospheric world inspired by classic horror literature. You take on the role of William, a man whose brain has been mysteriously split in two, with half trapped inside a strange lantern. Awakening within an imposing estate, you must learn to navigate this surreal environment and harness your fractured mind to solve intricate puzzles and uncover hidden secrets. The game world spans over nine hectares, including a sprawling castle with 152 rooms across three floors, extensive underground galleries, and richly detailed outdoor areas, all crafted with meticulous attention to detail. The gameplay revolves around exploration, observation, and clever problem-solving, featuring more than 300 puzzle sets across 33 different types that range from sokoban-inspired challenges to laser and mirror mechanics, gear systems, sliding puzzles, and electrical circuits. Alongside these puzzles, players face tactical turn-based combat encounters with a variety of distinct enemies, encouraging strategy and deduction. The story unfolds through environmental clues and interactions with eight central characters whose fates you can influence, leading to multiple possible endings. With over 50 hours of gameplay, a darkly atmospheric art style, and a blend of subtle humor and eerie storytelling, My Very Own Light offers a rich, immersive experience. Players can seamlessly switch between first- and third-person perspectives and even share the journey cooperatively, managing equipment and setting traps to progress through this enigmatic world.
