Carpe Noctem is a gothic-themed visual novel set in an alternate Victorian England haunted by supernatural creatures. Players follow Adelaide Hadid, an orphan trained by a religious order to hunt monsters, who is sent to a remote village with the mission to eliminate a powerful vampiress named Cordelia. However, after a tense and fateful encounter with Cordelia, Adelaide’s black-and-white view of her mission begins to blur as she forms unexpected bonds with both the enigmatic vampiress and her loyal maid, Lily. As Adelaide navigates this dark and atmospheric world, she must confront her own beliefs, the rigid doctrines of The Church, and her growing feelings that challenge everything she thought she knew. The game combines rich storytelling with evocative artwork and a haunting musical score to immerse players in its eerie Victorian setting.
