Paraopticon is a tense puzzle game that puts you in the role of a nighttime security guard tasked with monitoring multiple surveillance camera feeds. Set against a backdrop of eerie, dimly lit rooms, your objective is to carefully observe these feeds and spot subtle anomalies that appear after midnight. You have a limited window of 15 to 30 in-game minutes to memorize the layout of each room before the anomalies begin to manifest. Once the clock strikes 12:00 AM, strange and unsettling events start unfolding, and you must identify and report these irregularities to survive until 6:00 AM. The gameplay hinges on sharp attention to detail and quick decision-making, as failing to report too many anomalies can lead to fatal consequences. With hundreds of different anomalies across various levels, the game offers a vast range of challenges and surprises. Throughout your shift, you’ll encounter special events and mysterious entities that add layers of suspense and urgency to the experience.
