Platypus Reclayed marks the return of the beloved indie shoot ’em up classic, revitalized for modern audiences more than two decades after its original release. Set against the backdrop of Colossatropolis, a sprawling and overpopulated metropolis struggling with pollution and urban chaos, the game plunges players into a tense conflict as the city seeks to expand into the neighboring land of Mungola. Defending Mungola is the last hope: a squadron of vintage fighter planes known as the F-27 “Platypus.” Piloting one of these iconic aircraft, players must take on relentless waves of enemies in fast-paced, arcade-style aerial combat that blends frantic shooting with strategic maneuvering. Rebuilt from the ground up by the original creator Anthony Flack and the Claymatic team, Platypus Reclayed offers a complete overhaul rather than a simple remaster.
