Game Overview
Potion Permit invites players into the quaint and secluded town of Moonbury, a community steeped in tradition and wary of modern advancements. When the mayor’s daughter falls seriously ill and local remedies fail, the town turns to an outsider—the player, a skilled chemist sent by the Medical Association—to bring new hope through alchemy. As the town’s newfound healer, you’ll diagnose and treat the ailments of around 30 unique residents, each with their own schedules and personalities, gradually earning their trust as you craft potions, salves, and remedies to restore their health. Gameplay revolves around gathering ingredients from Moonbury’s diverse environments, which range from lush meadows to harsh deserts, while contending with changing weather and hostile monsters. Your tools serve dual purposes, aiding both in harvesting natural materials and defending yourself in real-time combat. Brewing remedies in your cauldron grows more complex as you unlock advanced recipes and upgrade your equipment, allowing for more potent and varied concoctions. Beyond curing illnesses, you’ll build meaningful relationships with townsfolk, enhancing your reputation and unlocking opportunities to improve the town itself by upgrading buildings and expanding exploration areas. With no strict time limits, players can immerse themselves in the peaceful rhythms of rural life—relaxing at the tavern, fishing, or simply wandering the charming streets—always accompanied by a loyal canine companion who helps track down residents and hidden treasures. Potion Permit blends simulation, RPG elements, and a heartfelt story into a gentle yet engaging experience about community, care, and discovery.
