Prime Directive

Prime Directive is a first-person metroidvania adventure set on the mysterious alien planet Xenix, where players take on the role of Marty, a crash-landed survivor seeking to unravel the fate of an abandoned human colony. As Marty explores four distinct environments filled with unique flora and fauna, he must uncover clues by scanning the surroundings and piecing together recovered logs to reveal the dark secret lurking beneath the surface. Along the way, players face a variety of alien creatures and rogue robots, engaging in intense combat that escalates in scale and complexity. Progression in the game centers around collecting dozens of power-ups that enhance Marty’s abilities, allowing him to delve deeper into the planet’s depths and tackle increasingly challenging puzzles. One of the game’s standout mechanics is Marty’s ability to duplicate himself, creating multiple versions that can work together to confuse enemies, solve puzzles, and execute coordinated attacks. This self-cloning feature not only enriches combat strategy but also adds a unique layer to puzzle-solving. Players’ choices throughout the story influence multiple possible endings, offering replayability. Additionally, Prime Directive includes special challenge missions and a competitive split-screen multiplayer mode where players can battle head-to-head, with each death spawning clones that escalate the intensity of the matches.
