Game Overview
Ragnarock is a rhythm-based music game set against a backdrop inspired by Viking mythology, where players take on the role of drummers in a powerful Viking band. The game features an energetic soundtrack spanning Celtic rock, Viking power metal, and more, with a base collection of 46 officially licensed songs from popular bands like Alestorm, Gloryhammer, and Electric Callboy. This library expands further through seven DLC packs that add 49 additional tracks from well-known artists such as Sabaton, Nightwish, and The Offspring. Beyond the official content, Ragnarock supports thousands of community-created songs, offering nearly limitless replayability and variety for fans of all skill levels. Gameplay centers on pounding the drums in perfect rhythm to match the music, with three difficulty levels providing a challenge for both newcomers and seasoned players. Progression is driven by climbing leaderboards and competing against others in various modes, including public and private online multiplayer supporting up to six players, local split-screen for up to four, and solo races where players can challenge their own best records using ghost ships. The game also embraces VR compatibility and cross-platform multiplayer, allowing PC and VR users to compete together. Visually, Ragnarock immerses players in stylized Nordic environments that bring Viking legends to life, enhancing the overall experience with a unique blend of music, mythology, and competitive gameplay.
