Real Nightmares is a psychological narrative experience set in 2023 that plunges players into the fragmented mind of Juliano, a man haunted by a traumatic past. The game unfolds in a constantly shifting environment where reality and nightmare blur, inviting players to explore surreal locations tied to Juliano’s memories—his childhood home, old school, workplace, and the coffee shop where a tragic accident occurred. As players navigate these changing spaces, they uncover the layers of Juliano’s story, piecing together the pain and guilt that weigh heavily on him in hopes of helping him find peace and move forward. Gameplay in Real Nightmares combines exploration with survival-style resource management and physics-based puzzles. Players must carefully search for key items—sometimes hidden in unexpected places like inside a cup—and interact with objects by rotating, loading, and positioning them to progress through the story.
