Rising Front is an immersive single-player battle simulator that brings massive-scale warfare to life, spanning multiple historical eras with a focus on World War I, the Revolutionary War, and the Franco-Prussian War. Players can experience intense combat from the perspective of infantry, cavalry, tanks, and aircraft, choosing to fight in first-person or command their forces from a strategic overhead view. The game features over a thousand units clashing simultaneously, offering an unprecedented scale of battle that allows for epic line formations, cavalry charges, and dynamic combined arms engagements. With more than a dozen new vehicles, including experimental WWI tanks that never saw combat, alongside over 30 different planes and fire support options like bombing runs, players have a rich arsenal to influence the tide of battle. Progression in Rising Front is driven by mastering realistic tactics from the early 20th century and earlier conflicts, combining historical authenticity with modern gameplay mechanics. The game’s advanced AI lets players issue commands to units, while a procedural cover system creates an adaptive battlefield environment that rewards strategic thinking. Artillery and a building system allow for fortified defenses, adding depth to combat strategies. Additionally, rag-doll physics enhance the realism of engagements, making each encounter feel impactful and dynamic.
