Game Overview
Roguebook is a roguelike deckbuilding game set within a mysterious, magical tome that contains the world’s ancient legends. After being lost in a well of Faeria, this Book of Lore has developed its own dark will, trapping players inside its pages. As you navigate through this enchanted world, you lead two heroes, each with distinct decks, relics, and skill trees, combining their abilities and strategic positioning to overcome numerous challenges. The game’s tactical combat encourages careful planning, allowing you to queue actions and exploit synergies between cards, relics, and hero skills to defeat a wide variety of enemies and powerful bosses. Every run through Roguebook offers a fresh experience thanks to procedurally generated maps composed of hexagonal tiles that you reveal with magical inks. This dynamic world is filled with diverse encounters—from merchants and travelers to ruins and quests—that provide opportunities to gather new cards, relics, and upgrades, though danger often lurks nearby. With over 200 cards to collect, 80 unique relics, and multiple hero skill trees to develop, the game offers deep customization and progression. Players can expect around 20 hours to complete the main journey, with hundreds more available through unlocking new content and tackling increasingly difficult challenges. Designed in collaboration with Richard Garfield, the creator of Magic: The Gathering™, Roguebook blends rich lore, strategic deckbuilding, and roguelike elements into a compelling and ever-changing adventure.
