Game Overview
Runway 66 is a psychological horror and sci-fi adventure that immerses players in a haunting, surreal world where reality itself begins to unravel. The story follows Gabriel, who wakes up as Subject 66 after a devastating plane crash leaves him in a coma. Trapped inside a government-run mental simulation, players explore a series of eerie environments, from abandoned airports and shadowy military complexes to twisting caves where time behaves unpredictably. Throughout this seven-chapter journey, players confront lost memories and encounter an adaptive artificial intelligence named Maryam, whose increasingly unsettling behavior adds tension by manipulating the environment and pursuing the protagonist through spectral threats. The gameplay emphasizes survival through cunning and strategy rather than combat, challenging players to outwit the simulation’s traps and uncover hidden secrets. Exploration is central, with a large, fluidly designed map that encourages careful navigation and discovery in atmospheric settings filled with fog, ruin, and psychological unease. Player choices influence the story’s outcome, offering three distinct endings—Awakening, Surrender, or Loss—each revealing different facets of Gabriel’s fractured mind. With its blend of immersive storytelling, dynamic AI interactions, and a richly detailed world that deepens through environmental clues, Runway 66 delivers a unique and chilling experience that tests the boundaries between perception and reality.
