Game Overview
Skate Story is a unique skateboarding adventure set deep within the haunting, surreal world of the Underworld. You play as a fragile yet determined demon made of glass and pain, given a skateboard by the Devil himself with a daunting mission: skate all the way to the Moon and swallow it to earn your freedom. As you glide through the ash-covered, smoky expanse known as The Emptylands, you’ll master a variety of skateboarding tricks like ollies, kickflips, and grinds, navigating both treacherous urban streets and bizarre, otherworldly landscapes. The game challenges you to balance weight and motion carefully, turning each trick into a ritualistic dance that blends precision and style. Throughout your journey, you’ll encounter hostile demons to defeat and tormented souls to rescue, gradually evolving from a fragile beginner into a hardened skater. The Underworld is divided into nine distinct layers, each filled with waxed ledges, challenging gaps, and freeform skate spots that invite exploration and creativity. Progression comes through completing skate trials, unlocking new tricks, and upgrading your gear with custom decks, wheels, and trucks to keep your skating fresh and unique. Accompanying the gameplay is a hypnotic, psychedelic soundtrack by Blood Cultures and John Fio, which adds an atmospheric depth to this stylish, street-skating odyssey through hellish realms. Skate Story combines a striking narrative with fluid, nuanced skating mechanics, inviting players to push through adversity with perseverance and skill.
