Sonic Generations is a great attempt at re-introducing the side scrolling element old Sonic games used to have to a new installment in the series. Granted it took falling back onto the laurels of nostalgia and revamped zones from the old 2D games, but Generations is a great experience nonetheless. The 2D and 3D zones manage to be both fun, fast-paced, and still distinctly different enough from one another to warrant a full playthrough of the game. This just might be the greatest Sonic game ever made.
