Game Overview
Supraland Six Inches Under is a first-person Metroidvania set in a vibrant, cleverly designed world where exploration and puzzle-solving take center stage. Players navigate a gated environment that gradually opens up as new abilities are discovered, allowing access to previously unreachable areas. The game blends around 55% exploration with 40% puzzle-solving and a smaller portion of combat, offering a balanced adventure that can take anywhere from 8 to 20 hours to complete. Unlike its predecessor, Six Inches Under features simpler main-path puzzles with more challenging ones tucked away as optional content, as well as entirely new enemy types that require varied combat approaches. The combat system has been reworked to separate enemies from puzzle areas, ensuring smoother progression without combat interruptions. Developed by a core team of six, this title began as a side project to introduce new team members and ended up evolving into a substantial follow-up to the original Supraland. While it retains many familiar mechanics and half of the player’s abilities from the first game, it also introduces fresh elements and a new world to explore, earning it the informal title of “Supraland 1.5.” The game is rich with humor, featuring hundreds of gags throughout the experience, and is supported by an original soundtrack crafted specifically for this installment. With significantly more optional content available after the credits and a more experimental approach to both level design and gameplay, Supraland Six Inches Under offers a playful, inventive journey that builds upon its predecessor while setting the stage for future adventures.
