Swallow the Sea offers a brief but immersive journey through a surreal underwater world, where players take on the role of a tiny egg cell navigating a vast, swollen sea filled with bizarre and humanoid fish. This 2D survival exploration game invites players to engage in eat-and-grow combat as they hunt smaller creatures to increase their size and strength. The ultimate goal is to evolve and survive long enough to be born into a new form, making each moment a delicate balance of risk and growth. The game unfolds across multiple distinct areas, each brimming with strange lifeforms and environments that contribute to its dreamlike atmosphere. Despite its short playtime of around 8 to 15 minutes, Swallow the Sea delivers a compelling narrative experience through its unique setting and gameplay mechanics. Developed by Talia Bob Mair and Nicolás Delgado, with sound design by Pato Flores and Chris Dang and music composed by Publio Delgado, the game combines evocative audio and visuals to create a hauntingly beautiful exploration of life and transformation beneath the waves.
