Tartapolis

Tartapolis is an open-world RPG that blends metroidvania-style exploration with intense gunplay, set within a dark, futuristic city where two realities converge. Players take on the role of Richard Bor, a detective who runs an agency alongside his trusted partner, Marla Cox. As they investigate a seemingly routine case, they uncover a hidden secret that draws them into a dangerous conflict within this high-tech metropolis. The city itself is a sprawling, atmospheric environment filled with shady characters, strange creatures, and sentient technology, all contributing to a layered narrative that challenges players to navigate its twisting streets and unravel its mysteries. The game offers a rich RPG experience, featuring deep character customization, skill trees, and an extensive arsenal of guns and attachments. Players can also deploy and upgrade modifiable bots, and experiment with liquid mixing mechanics to enhance their abilities. Progression involves unlocking new areas of the city through unique items and solving complex cases using sophisticated detective tools. The oppressive technocratic regime known as the HIVE controls the city from the imposing Citadel, maintaining order through propaganda, fear, and a powerful police force. As players develop relationships with NPCs, merchants, and the city’s aware technology, they must ultimately confront this pervasive evil and fight to reclaim the city’s freedom.
