Terraformers: Megastructures expands the base game by introducing the ability to construct massive, game-changing structures in every Martian city. Players can choose from ten unique megastructure designs, ranging from self-sustaining arcologies to climate-controlling facilities and space elevators that dramatically boost trade capacity. Each megastructure can be upgraded through multiple stages, with higher levels unlocking powerful benefits but also requiring a larger city population to support them. Integrating these colossal constructions into existing city layouts adds a new layer of strategic planning, encouraging players to optimize synergies with previously built infrastructure. Beyond building, the expansion brings fresh challenges and opportunities through a new, longer scenario that tests players’ ability to manage resources and innovate under pressure. Technical advancements are represented by three new events that enhance construction capabilities, while three new leaders offer unique approaches to shaping Martian society around large-scale development.
