As you journey deeper into the wilderness, the boundary between reality and nightmare begins to blur, thanks to a sophisticated madness system inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s signature atmosphere. This mechanic distorts your perception, warping senses and sowing paranoia within your team, making every encounter unpredictable and heightening the tension as you struggle to determine what is real and what is illusion. Starting your adventure aboard a galleon, you sign contracts with the captain to equip yourself, dividing weapons and gear among your party before choosing your next area to explore in the jungle. The further you push into the unknown, the more dangerous and strange the environment becomes, populated by bizarre creatures and haunted by unseen forces that manipulate your mind. As you uncover abandoned forts and recover their logbooks, you unlock new starting points for future expeditions. Communication is key, as spatialized voice chat lets your team coordinate effectively against the creeping threats. Your ultimate goal is to find The Mound, a legendary site rumored to hold unimaginable treasures, but to reach it, you must survive the jungle’s relentless horrors and the madness that threatens to consume you all.
